Simple Coil Motor

What you do: Energize balanced coil above magnet. What students see: Coil spins repeatedly. Why it works: Magnetic force on current in opposite sides of coil produces torque; commutation keeps rotation going. Question to ask: What has to change every half-turn to keep it spinning?
