Materials: Clear gelatin strip; bright LED flashlight
What you do: Shine light into one end of a curved gelatin strip.
What students see: Light follows the bend instead of traveling straight out.

2. RGB Light Color Mixing
Materials: Red, green, blue LED flashlights; white screen
What you do: Overlap colored beams in different combinations.
What students see: Red+green, green+blue, and all three produce new light colors including white.
Question: What color appears when all three overlap?
3. Colored Filters Remove Light
Materials: Colored transparent filters; white light; colored objects
What you do: Look through filters or stack two colors.
What students see: Some object colors darken or disappear.
