Question: What part is actually vibrating? 2. Balloon Whistle Materials: Balloon; hex nut or small object inside What you do: Place nut in balloon, inflate, then swirl balloon safely. What students see: A loud whirring/whistling sound develops. Question: Why does spinning make sound? 3. Pendulum Resonance Push Materials: Pendulum; gentle periodic pushes or magnetic driver What you do: Push at matching rhythm vs random rhythm.
