Float colored inks on water, gently manipulate the pattern, then pull one-of-a-kind marbled paper prints.
Grades: K–1; TK only as a teacher-supported station
Independence: Teacher-supported
For younger students: TK uses 1–2 colors and simple swirl tools; teacher/helper resets trays between students. K/1 can learn the full ink → swirl → paper → lift routine.
Independent work: Pre-fill trays to a marked water line and pre-cut paper. Keep one visual sequence card at each station. Aprons/table covers recommended because inks can stain.
Lesson flow: Teach the setup and visual routine first, then open as a rotating station when students can begin, work, and clean up independently.
Safety and cleanup: Follow the teacher notes and supervise any activity marked Teacher-supported.
