Resource Guide

Wet Wool Felting StudioLayer colored wool roving, wet it with warm soapy water, then roll/rub it until the fibers become a real piece of felt. Grades: K–1; TK only as a teacher-supported station Independence: Teacher-supported For younger students: Pre-portion roving into small color bundles and use small felt tiles or simple balls rather than large pieces. Teacher supplies warm soapy water in squeeze bottles. Independent work: Teach a fixed sequence—layer → wet → cover → rub/roll → rinse → drying tray. Keep towels under every station. Lesson flow: Teach the setup and visual routine first, then open as a rotating station when students can begin, work, and clean up independently. Safety and cleanup: Follow the teacher notes and supervise any activity marked Teacher-supported.
